In  “Uncanny valley” series Marina and I were thinking about the limits of physicality and modernization of the body's capabilities, about what metamorphoses the new reality will push it to. After the war had started, the outlook on this project changed. We delayed its publication for a long time, because the concept has some changes too.

What should the body look like to match technological progress? How does it adapt functionally?

The series about the body turned into a dystopian statement.
Separately from each other, in our projects we often talked about total lack of freedom, surveillance and a sense of control that hangs over everyone more and more. Now the feeling of artificial security has turned into a premonition of upcoming dystopia.
The need to adapt makes us cyborgs, plunging us into an imbalance in the usual environment and a completely new reality for people. "Protection" will no longer help, you will have to grow your own armor.

The series consists of 4 objects, each one has its own special purpose. Very soon they may become a universal necessity.
Object №1 “Bimbo knee”

Object №2 “Teleport super jet”

Object №3 "Protective helmet"

Object №4 “Accompanying walker”
This project was made with multimedia designer and artist Marina Aleksashina
